SEATTLE -- All the ailing, winless Seattle Seahawks needed was everyone’s cure-all, a visit from the St. Louis Rams.

Julius Jones ran for 140 yards in 22 carries and T.J. Duckett had his first two-touchdown rushing day in four years as the Seahawks rolled over the malfunctioning Rams, 37-13.

Despite a calamitous September, Seattle (1-2) headed into its off week with the promise of a return to health while only one game out of the NFC West lead. The Seahawks have won the last four division titles.

The Rams (0-3) lost for the 16th time in 19 games and for the seventh consecutive time to Seattle.

The league’s lowest-ranked offense continued to sputter, with Marc Bulger often throwing wide of open receivers. He was 18 for 31 for 184 yards, his third consecutive game below 200 yards passing.
