Man, 18, is found shot dead in yard
The body of an 18-year-old man who was shot multiple times was found in the front yard of a home early Saturday morning, police said.
Two people driving in the area found the victim, Roel Mejia of Reseda, lying on the ground in the 17000 block of Sunburst Street at 1:44 a.m., said Officer Marjan Mobasser of the Los Angeles Police Department.
“They got out to see if he was OK and saw that he had blood all over,” Mobasser said.
Paramedics pronounced Mejia dead at the scene.
