The boyfriend of a college student who was strangled has been arrested in the woman’s death, according to police.
The body of 20-year-old Kate Yi was discovered Thursday by her roommate in their Long Beach apartment, police said. Detectives learned that the Cal State Long Beach student had allegedly quarreled with her boyfriend, Jonathan Huynh, and tracked him to the city of Orange.
Huynh, 20, who was not enrolled at the university, was arrested Friday without incident, according to Long Beach police.
