Toronto 8, at Kansas City 1: Rookie right-hander Scott Richmond (3-0) pitched seven sharp innings, Vernon Wells drove in three runs and Aaron Hill, who leads the majors with 36 hits, had three and is batting .371.

at Minnesota 4, Tampa Bay 3: Justin Morneau hustled to beat out a potential double play and allow the winning run to score in the ninth inning, and hit an early two-run home run.

at Chicago 2-1, Seattle 1-9: Bartolo Colon (2-1) pitched seven strong innings and Paul Konerko hit a two-run double in the first game. Felix Hernandez (4-0) coasted through eight scoreless innings, striking out nine, in the second game.

Angels 7, at Baltimore 5: Howie Kendrick hit a home run for the Angels.
