CALIFORNIA BRIEFING
Bai Yun, a panda, gave birth to a healthy cub, San Diego Zoo officials announced Wednesday.
The cub is Bai Yun’s fifth. The gender will not be known until a closer examination is performed. The cub will not be named for 100 days, as part of Chinese tradition. Under the agreement between the U.S. and China, the cub will ultimately be shipped to China.
