New York 8, at Toronto 4: Johnny Damon hit a home run and had three runs batted in, Nick Swisher also hit a home run and reliever Alfredo Aceves (7-1) pitched two innings as the Yankees won their third game in a row.

at Cleveland 8, Minnesota 1: The first three batters in Cleveland's lineup -- Grady Sizemore, Asdrubal Cabrera and Shin-Soo Choo -- along with No. 9 hitter Trevor Crowe were 10 for 16 with five runs and seven RBIs.

at Detroit 4, Baltimore 2: Magglio Ordonez hit a home run to back up Edwin Jackson (8-5), who took a shutout into the ninth inning. Jackson has given up two runs in 16 innings against Baltimore this season.

at Oakland 7, Texas 5: Adam Kennedy hit a tiebreaking two-run home run in the sixth inning, helping the Athletics beat the Rangers for the third consecutive time. Scott Hairston, Kurt Suzuki and Chad Pennington also hit home runs for the A's.

Seattle 11, at Kansas City 6: Ichiro Suzuki had his major league-leading 52nd multi-hit game, and Russell Branyan and Jose Lopez each drove in three runs to lead the Mariners.

at Chicago 6, Angels 2: Jim Thome hit two home runs for the White Sox.
