at Milwaukee 6, Houston 2: Craig Counsell had three hits and drove in three runs, and Mike Burns pitched seven solid innings in the Brewers' victory, their third in a row. Counsell hit his seventh triple, a career high.

at Atlanta 4, Philadelphia 3: Omar Infante's bases-loaded single against Brad Lidge capped a ninth-inning rally and lifted the Braves to a victory. Lidge picked up his eighth blown save, aiding Atlanta's rally with two errors on the same play following Garret Anderson's leadoff single.

at Chicago 3, Pittsburgh 1: Jeff Baker homered and drove in two runs, Tom Gorzelanny pitched five effective innings against his former team, and the Cubs defeated the Pirates.

at St. Louis 7, San Diego 4: Matt Holliday hit a two-run homer, and Joel Pineiro extended his winning streak to five for the Cardinals. The home run was the only hit in five at-bats for Holliday.

Washington 10, at Cincinnati 6: The Nationals' Adam Dunn hit his first homer against his former team. Alberto Gonzalez and Elijah Dukes each had two hits and three runs batted in for Washington.

Colorado at Florida, ppd: The Rockies and Marlins will make up the rained-out game as part of a doubleheader today.

at Arizona 4, Dodgers 3 (10 innings)
