Sabres recover from 3-0 deficit

Buffalo, N.Y. — Jason Pominville scored with 9:05 left to complete the Buffalo Sabres’ rally from a three-goal deficit and beat the Pittsburgh Penguins, 4-3, on Tuesday night.
Drew Stafford scored twice and added an assist on Paul Gaustad’s goal. Patrick Lalime stopped all 27 shots he faced in relief of starter Ryan Miller.
Jordan Staal, Bill Guerin and Chris Kunitz scored for the Penguins, who blew a chance to tie New Jersey atop the Eastern Conference standings.
