at Dallas 99, New York 94: Josh Howard scored 19 points, Jason Kidd had 16 and the Mavericks overcame a subpar game from Dirk Nowitzki to beat the Knicks for the ninth straight time in Dallas. Nowitzki, the NBA’s fourth-leading scorer, had 10 points on three-for-13 shooting. New York center Eddy Curry, who missed the first 33 games because of a knee injury, scored two points in his first action of the season.
at San Antonio 106, Clippers 84: Tony Parker scored 19 points and the Spurs handed the Clippers their ninth loss in a row.
