About 200,000 Rainforest portable play yards, made in China by Simplicity Inc. and SFCA Inc. of Reading, Pa., are being recalled because the rails can collapse unexpectedly, posing a fall or entrapment hazard.

There have been at least 1,350 reports of one or more rails collapsing, with injuries to children that include bumps and bruises, a broken nose, a broken wrist, a mild concussion, a cut to the hand and a chipped tooth.

The recalled products have Rainforest theme artwork and bear the Fisher-Price logo. They were sold with a bassinet, changing table and mobile features.

The Simplicity model numbers are 5310 RNF, 5310RNFC and 5310RNFW. They were sold by retailers and specialty children’s stores nationwide from January 2007 through this month.

* Barber Foods Co. of Portland, Maine, is recalling 6,050 pounds of frozen, stuffed chicken products after plastic was found inside some of the meat, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said. The 2.5-pound packages of Market Day Stuffed Chicken Breast Roast with Rib Meat, with Cranberry and Sage Stuffing and 10-pound cases of Barber Foods Distinctions Barber Carver with Cranberry and Sage Stuffing were produced Nov. 13, the department said. In November, Barber Foods recalled more than 41,000 pounds of Schwan’s Stuffed Chicken Kiev after rubber was found inside some of the meat.

* About 476,500 Bosch and Siemens model dishwashers, made by BSH Home Appliances Corp. of Huntington Beach, are being recalled because an electrical component in certain dishwashers can overheat, posing a fire hazard. The company has received 51 reports of incidents, including 30 reports of fires resulting in property damage. The products were sold at retailers nationwide from May 1999 to December 2006. * About 131,000 Infantino Lion and Lamb Grabby rattles, made in China by Infantino of San Diego, are being recalled because the tailpiece on the rattles can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. The recalled toys are shaped like a lamb or lion. They were sold at Wal-Mart, Babies R Us and other specialty stores nationwide from May 2007 through September 2008. * About 5,300 children’s sunglasses, made in China and imported by Axiom International Inc. of Billings, Mont., are being recalled because surface paint on the product can contain high levels of lead, which is toxic if ingested by young children. The sunglasses have a spider web etched in between the eyes. They were sold by party stores, discount dollar stores and hardware stores nationwide from May 2007 to August 2008.
