LeBron James leads Cavaliers to third straight win

Cleveland 102, at Utah 97: LeBron James had 33 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists, just missing a triple-double, as the Cavaliers held off the Jazz. Mo Williams added 25 points and four assists, including three alley-oops to James, as the Cavaliers closed out a four-game trip with their third consecutive win. Deron Williams had a season-high 16 assists and scored 17 points for Utah, which had won seven straight at home. Paul Millsap had 24 points and 15 rebounds, but the Jazz could not keep up with the Cavaliers at the end despite Cleveland’s late night Friday in a 106-105 victory at Golden State.

at Philadelphia 116, New York 110: Andre Iguodala scored 24 points and Andre Miller had 21 as the 76ers welcomed the return of Elton Brand with a victory. Brand, who sat out 16 games after dislocating his right shoulder on Dec. 17, had six points in 13 minutes off the bench. He entered the game for the first time with 1:26 left in the first quarter for the 76ers, who won for the eighth time in nine games and moved back to .500 at 21-21. Nate Robinson scored 26 points and Tim Thomas had 24 for the Knicks, whose winning streak ended at three games.

New Jersey 99, at Memphis 88: Vince Carter scored 23 points, Devin Harris had 17 points and eight assists and the Nets outscored the Grizzlies, 27-18, in the fourth quarter to end a five-game losing streak. O.J. Mayo had 23 points for Memphis, which lost its ninth in a row and second under interim Coach Johnny Davis, who took over when Marc Iavaroni was fired Thursday. Memphis is scheduled to introduce new coach Lionel Hollins at a news conference today.

at Milwaukee 106, Sacramento 104: Luc Richard Mbah a Moute hit a free throw with 3.3 seconds to go and Richard Jefferson scored 20 points for the Bucks, who rebounded one night after suffering their most lopsided loss of the season, 117-87 at Atlanta. Milwaukee won despite the absence of center Andrew Bogut, who missed his sixth straight game because of back spasms, and leading scorer Michael Redd, who left in the third quarter because of a knee injury.

at Portland 100, Washington 87: Brandon Roy had 22 points and 10 steals, and Greg Oden had 18 points and 14 rebounds for the Trail Blazers. Caron Butler had 31 points and 10 rebounds but also nine turnovers for the Wizards.
