The loss ended Boston’s four-game winning streak and dropped its home mark to 17-7, second in the majors behind the Dodgers.

at Oakland 9, Baltimore 1: Jack Cust and Matt Holiday each hit three-run homers and Dallas Braden matched his career high of seven strikeouts for the Athletics, who extended their winning streak to a four games.
