I have to disagree with the notion that fans shouldn’t vote Manny into the All-Star game. The minute that Bud Selig turned the game into something that decides home-field advantage for the World Series, it stopped being a feel-good exhibition, and fans of the Dodgers and other top NL teams want Manny’s bat in the NL lineup.

A recent article indicated the Dodgers would not do a “get out the vote” campaign for Manny like they did for Russell Martin last year. I say the Dodgers should do a campaign urging fans to do a write-in vote for Juan Pierre.
