TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY: RAYS AT TROPICANA FIELD,

ST. PETERSBURG, FLA.

FRIDAY THROUGH JUNE 14: PADRES AT ANGEL STADIUM

The Rays had the American League leaders in the Triple Crown categories, through Friday: shortstop Jason Bartlett with a .373 batting average, first baseman Carlos Pena with 17 home runs and third baseman Evan Longoria with 55 runs batted in -- though Bartlett is on the disabled list. The Rays lead the league in runs, but two pitchers who started in last year’s World Series are saddled with hideous earned-run averages: Andy Sonnanstine (7.07) and Scott Kazmir (7.69). They put Kazmir on the DL and replaced him with David Price, the wondrous rookie reliever in the Rays’ magical October.
