at Atlanta 4, Pittsburgh 3: Derek Lowe (7-3) pitched seven solid innings and Yunel Escobar hit a two-run single in the seventh for the Braves.
at Florida 4, St. Louis 3: Jeremy Hermida homered leading off the bottom of the ninth inning for the Marlins.
Chicago 7, at Houston 1: Ted Lilly pitched 6 2/3 shutout innings to beat the Astros for the sixth straight time.
Cincinnati 3, at Washington 2: Johnny Cueto had another one-run outing, and Brandon Phillips knocked in a pair of runs with a double for the Reds.
San Francisco 9, at Arizona 4: Pablo Sandoval had four hits and drove in three runs for the Giants and Matt Cain improved to 8-1.
at Dodgers 6, San Diego 4: Andre Ethier homered twice for the Dodgers.
