Larry Brown earned a split in the season series with his former team, coaching the fifth-year Bobcats to their 33rd win in his first season to stay in the hunt for their first playoff berth.

at Miami 102, Milwaukee 85: Dwyane Wade scored 27 points, Udonis Haslem had 16 points and 12 rebounds for his 100th career double-double, and the Heat (39-34) moved a full game ahead of Philadelphia in the race for fifth in the East -- a crucial spot because it would ensure not seeing Cleveland, Orlando or Boston until at least the second round of the playoffs.

at Denver 129, Golden State 116: Carmelo Anthony scored 31 points as the Nuggets won their third in a row. The Warriors, who have lost four straight, probably will be without Stephen Jackson (toe surgery) for the rest of the season.

at Chicago 112, Indiana 106: John Salmons scored 22 points and made two late three-pointers in the Bulls’ fourth consecutive victory. Danny Granger scored 32 for Indiana and Brandon Rush had a career-high 29, but the Pacers suffered their sixth loss in eight games.
