A gunman shot and injured a woman believed to be his wife before fatally shooting himself, authorities said Wednesday.
The shooting occurred about 9 a.m. near Doheny Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard on the West Hollywood-Beverly Hills border. It was unclear whether the shooting occurred on the street or inside a residence.
The man, in his late 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department. The woman was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in critical condition.
