Re “Digital billboard deal is invalidated,” Nov. 6

It is important for the city of Los Angeles not to make hasty decisions regarding the recent court ruling on digital billboards.

We need to explore our options and not rush to a conclusion that could force hundreds of billboards to be taken down across the city. Businesses are struggling under the current economic conditions, and the financial losses of eliminating these revenue generators are potentially devastating.

While the city may think quick action will prevent further legal action, it runs the risk of opening itself up to more legal vulnerability by compelling businesses to tear down their digital signage.

I urge the city to carefully consider its options in this matter.
