West: No. 12 TCU rolls over Colorado State

at No. 12 Texas Christian 44, Colorado State 6 -- Jeremy Kerley tiptoed the sideline, then came to a near stop before finding an open lane to the end zone for his second punt return for a touchdown in three games to lead the Horned Frogs (6-0, 2-0) over the Rams (3-4, 0-3) in a Mountain West Conference game. Kerley’s electrifying 69-yard return just before halftime made it 17-6, and came less than 2 1/2 minutes after TCU had finally taken the lead on Joseph Turner’s two-yard touchdown run.

No. 18 Brigham Young 38, at San Diego State 28 -- Max Hall threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns, and ran for another score to lead the Cougars (6-1, 3-0) over the Aztecs (2-4, 0-2) in a Mountain West game to give the school its 500th victory.

No. 24 Utah 35, at Nevada Las Vegas 15 -- Terrance Cain threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another score to lead the Utes (5-1, 2-0) over the Rebels (2-5, 0-3) in a Mountain West game.

at Air Force 10, Wyoming 0 -- Connor Dietz came off the bench in the second half to spark the offense and lead the Falcons (4-3, 3-1) over the Cowboys (4-3, 2-1) in a Mountain West game.

In games involving Western Athletic Conference teams: Colin Kaepernick threw three touchdown passes and Nevada (3-3, 2-0) rushed for 313 yards in a 35-32 victory over host Utah State (1-5, 0-2). . . . Ross Jenkins passed for three touchdowns and ran for another to lead host Louisiana Tech (3-3, 2-1) to a 45-7 victory over New Mexico State (3-4, 1-2). . . .
