at Toronto 6, Baltimore 5 (11): Aaron Hill doubled home the winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning and the Blue Jays handed the Orioles their sixth loss in a row. Hill reached 100 RBIs for the first time in his career.

at Kansas City 5, Boston 1: Zack Greinke (15-8) bolstered his Cy Young Award credentials by holding the Red Sox to two hits in six scoreless innings. Greinke is 3-0 with an ERA of 0.26 in his last five starts.

at Oakland 9, Texas 1: Kurt Suzuki and Daric Barton drove in two runs apiece, Trevor Cahill won his fourth consecutive decision and the Athletics clinched their first winning month in more than a year. The A’s are 14-6 in September.
