Memorial planned for Dr. Joel Weisman
A memorial for Dr. Joel Weisman, one of the first physicians to detect the AIDS epidemic, will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 25 at a home in the Hollywood Hills. For more information and to RSVP, e-mail WeismanMemorial@aol.com by Oct. 19.
Weisman died July 18 at his Westwood home after a long illness, said Bill Hutton, his domestic partner of 17 years. He was 66.
