Alaska’s ‘haul road’: An article in Thursday’s Section A about the Dalton Highway in Alaska identified a truck driver who regularly drives the highway as John Thomas. His name is John Taylor.

Musical Instrument Museum: An article in today’s Arts & Books section about the new Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix said the building was designed by Richard Varda of Minneapolis and Phoenix-based RSP Architects. Varda is no longer part of RSP; he and the firm collaborated on the design. Founder Robert Ulrich’s campaign-leading donation, which the article identified as $10 million, is characterized in the “$10 million and above” category on the museum’s donor plaque. Also, Ulrich was quoted as saying, “There are numbers of museums that try to do encyclopedic [music] collections -- the Met, the Smithsonian, the Louvre. . . . “ The word “music” should not have been inserted; his comment was about those museums’ overall collections. The story also referred to Kenyan mbiras as being among the museum’s collection. The mbira, a type of thumb piano, is from Zimbabwe.

Supreme Court: An article in the April 11 Section A about three contenders for the high court said that Elena Kagan was named Harvard Law’s first female dean in 1993. She was named dean in 2003.

IRS interest: The Money Talk column in the April 11 Business section said the IRS charges 4% a month interest on unpaid taxes. The rate is 4% a year.

Track and field: An article in the April 11 Sports section on the Arcadia Invitational meet said 17 runners had broken nine minutes in the boys’ 3,200 meters. Sixteen runners broke nine minutes.

Dodgers vs. Marlins: An article on the Dodgers’ 7-6 loss to the Florida Marlins in the April 11 Sports section said Dodgers pinch-hitter Andre Ethier had hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning. Ethier’s hit was a two-run single.

Eddie Carroll obituary: In the April 11 California section, the obituary of Eddie Carroll, an actor who voiced Jiminy Cricket and impersonated Jack Benny, gave his daughter’s name as Tia Monti. Her name is Tina Monti.
