Vegas, Baby: Just a few hours of driving or a commuter flight gets you to Sin City, with its built-in shenanigans and a few surprises for the holiday. Tao at the Venetian has Kim Kardashian reigning over festivities and a yet-to-be-confirmed celeb guest hosting at their other property, Lavo in the Palazzo. Hollywood: Of all the various monster clubs waiting for your New Year’s dollar along Hollywood Boulevard, there’s one party on our radar that’s a bit more gin martini than “Jersey Shore.” The W Hotel is hosting a glamorous bash, their inaugural NYE celebration, selling fun at several price points — general admission for $60, open bar tickets for $100, and of course VIP table reservations. The Cheap Date: For those who plan on spending as little as possible this year, hit Franklin Village’s popular Birds restaurant and bar.
