10 Days of 2010 Ten is the magic number at this rock ‘n’ roll showcase celebrating the dawn of a new decade. For 10 days, stellar bands will strut the stage of the Sunset Strip club, all for the low cover price of -- yes, you guessed it -- $10. Tonight’s headliner is the Flying Tourbillon Orchestra, which serves up a rousing blend of indie and classic rock. The French Semester With warm melodies and honest lyrics, the French Semester captures the spirit of impromptu, lager-fed jam sessions on college-town porches. Double Feature: ‘Key Largo’ and ‘The Treasure of the Sierra Madre’ Two of John Huston’s best-loved films are back to back. In “Key Largo,” Humphrey Bogart plays a World War II hero visiting his friend’s widow (Lauren Bacall), only to find her family being held hostage by gangster Johnny Rocco (Edward G. Robinson) and facing a hurricane. “The Treasure of the Sierra Madre” puts Bogie in even more dire straits as he mines for gold in 1820s Mexico with two other grizzled gringos. Winter Yoga No one likes Mondays, but Descanso Gardens makes them significantly better with a new series of nature walks and yoga classes that can chill out the most frazzled soul. Go for a walk through the lush, 150-acre gardens, led by a yoga teacher who is probably more Zen than most humans at the start of the week, then head to a wood-beamed hall for an hour of stretchy yoga moves.
