Washington routs Washington State

at Washington 92, Washington State 64 -- Quincy Pondexter had 29 points and 12 rebounds, recently ill Isaiah Thomas was revived with 19 points while leading a runaway rally in the second half and the Huskies blew past cold, benched Klay Thompson and the Cougars at Seattle.

Thompson, the sixth-leading scorer in the nation at 22.3 points a game, was late to the team bus Friday to begin the cross-state trip. Washington State Coach Ken Bone then put Thompson on the bench to begin Saturday’s game.

Thompson, who had started his first 53 games at Washington State, finished with seven points, tying his low for the season.

Both teams are 14-7 overall and 4-5 in the Pac-10.

at Arizona State 88, Stanford 70 -- Ty Abbott scored 29 points and had a career-high 12 rebounds at Tempe as the Sun Devils kept the Cardinal winless on the road.

Derek Glasser had 12 points and 10 assists for the Sun Devils (15-7, 5-4), who had dropped the first two games of a three-game homestand.

Landry Fields, tied for the Pac-10 scoring lead, had 22 points for the Cardinal (10-11, 4-5), which fell to 0-8 on the road.
