Share

Julianne Moore has come a long way since her time on the soaps “The Edge of Night” and “As the World Turns.” Or has she? She briefly returned to her Emmy-winning “World” role as Frannie Hughes Crawford this year. She also enjoyed a pas de trois with Alec Baldwin and Elizabeth Banks on “30 Rock.” Among her films: “Boogie Nights,” “Magnolia,” “Safe,” “Far From Heaven,” “Children of Men” and “Hannibal.” Among her many honors, she has been nominated for four Oscars, eight SAGs and four Golden Globes, as well as sharing a special Globe with the cast of “Short Cuts”: “Bob Altman was the one who influenced me the most, really. When I saw ‘Three Women’ in a revival house in college, it changed my perception; suddenly I noticed directors.”
