ON THE MOUND: Starter Hiroki Kuroda gave up two unearned runs and two hits in three innings. Relievers Jonathan Broxton and George Sherrill each surrendered one earned run in one inning or less of work.
EXTRA BASES: Garret Anderson was one for three with a single as the Dodgers designated hitter in his first spring-training game. Backup catcher Brad Ausmus threw out Elvis Andrus trying to steal second base.
