SUNDAY

When we were kids, a bully’s domain rarely extended beyond the playground. But time and technology have conspired to create a troubling new phenomenon: cyberbullying. “Nick News Special Edition” investigates. (Nickelodeon, 9 p.m.)

“American Dad” — the animated series about CIA agent Stan Smith, his wife and kids, their goldfish, Klaus, and a self-medicating space alien named Roger — hits the 100-episode mark with its season premiere. Pass the pecan sandies! (Fox, 9:30 p.m.)

MONDAY

Director Martin Scorsese offers his appraisal of the career of influential, controversial filmmaker Elia Kazan — he of “On the Waterfront” fame and House Un-American Activities Committee infamy — on a new “American Masters.” (KCET, 9 p.m.)

TUESDAY

Party over here! The special “106 & Park: 10 Years” celebrates the first decade of the popular daily music countdown — a sort of “TRL” for the hip-hop crowd, where videos get played, stars get made and respect gets paid. (BET, 10 p.m.)

WEDNESDAY

“Macbeth.” There, we said it; against every superstition that thespians hold dear, we said it. Patrick Stewart (above left, with Kate Fleetwood) plays the scheming Scot in a production of Shakespeare’s tragedy on “Great Performances.” (KCET, 9 p.m.)

THURSDAY

Bruuuuuce! Oh, sorry, the ‘U’ on the keyboard got stuck. The rock-doc “The Promise: The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town” tracks Bruce Springsteen, below, and the E Street Band through the creation of that classic 1978 album. (HBO, 9 p.m.)

FRIDAY

What’s all this then? “Law & Order: UK,” the veddy British edition of that police procedural, crosses the Pond for your viewing pleasure. It’s just like its American cousin, only with 100% more tea breaks and powdered wigs. (BBC America, 6 and 7 p.m.; again at 9 and 10 p.m.)

SATURDAY

In the days before EBay, bidding on the object of your heart’s desire meant heading to an auction house and heeding the call of the “Auctioneer$.” See them ply their fast-talking trade in this new reality series. Going once, twice… (TLC, 10 and 10:30 p.m.)
