DUCKS TODAY

AT ST. LOUIS

When: 11 a.m. PDT.

Where: Scottrade Center.

On the air: TV: Prime; Radio: 830.

Records: Ducks 0-2-0; Blues 1-0-0.

Record vs. Blues [2009-10]: 2-2-0.

Update: It’s never easy opening on the road, but the Ducks have really struggled and will be trying to salvage the finale of a three-game set. The road last season wasn’t nice to them (14-21-6) and the last thing they want is to go into Wednesday’s home opener winless. Not having veterans Andy Sutton, who broke his thumb in Friday’s season opener and is out indefinitely, or Toni Lydman (double vision) will take a toll on the young defense corps. On the offense, Ryan Getzlaf, Corey Perry, Bobby Ryan and Teemu Selanne are all still looking for their first goals of the season. The Blues, meanwhile, are coming off Saturday’s 2-1 overtime victory against the defending Eastern Conference champion Philadelphia Flyers. Jaroslav Halak, whose goaltending last spring helped the Montreal Canadiens upset Washington and Pittsburgh in the playoffs, made his much-anticipated debut for St. Louis and was one of Saturday’s heroes, stopping 29 shots.
