It is the Natural Resources Defense Council, not the National Resources Defense Council. An article in the Oct. 14 LATExtra section about the Los Angeles taxi cab franchise system made the same error.

Adult film performer: An article in Wednesday’s LATExtra section about a new case of HIV in an adult film performer in the San Fernando Valley said porn production company Vivid Entertainment was based in Van Nuys. It is located in Studio City.

Budget cuts: An article in the Oct. 14 LATExtra section about Senate leader Darrell Steinberg’s push to restore budget cuts misspelled the first name of Darrel Ng, campaign spokesman for gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman, as Darrell.

Insurance commissioner: An article in the Oct. 14 Business section said that Harvey Rosenfield of the advocacy group Consumer Watchdog personally endorsed Democrat Dave Jones for California insurance commissioner. In fact, Rosenfield has not yet endorsed any candidate in the race.
