French protests: An article in the Oct. 19 Section A about continuing French protests said President Nicolas Sarkozy had promised to help reduce the deficit by forcing workers to legally retire at 62, instead of 60. In fact, the measure would raise the minimum retirement age.
“Paranormal Activity 2”: An article about “Paranormal Activity 2” in the Oct. 21 Calendar section said the film was written by Michael R. Perry. The full credits on the film are screenplay by Michael R. Perry and Christopher Landon and Tom Pabst, story by Michael R. Perry.
“Beggars of Life”: The Screening Room column in the Oct. 21 Calendar section said the 1928 film “Beggars of Life” would be screening Friday at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The screening is Saturday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m.
Tourism: An article in the Oct. 22 Business section about aspiring actors who work as tour guides misspelled the last name of actor Richard Gere as Geer.
