San Bruno Police confirmed late Saturday that seven people died in Thursday’s gas explosion, and that six people are still missing.

“Our hearts go out to the victims of this tragedy,” said Police Chief Neil Telford. “This is devastating to so many families.”

Telford said specially trained search dogs located three additional victims from the rubble following searches Saturday.

No identifying information was immediately provided.

The chief said the coroner’s office would release their identities.

The search for additional victims and for the cause of the explosion continues.
