Child services: An article in the Sept. 9 LATExtra section on troubles in Los Angeles County’s Department of Children and Family Services said that all five members of the Board of Supervisors — Michael D. Antonovich, Don Knabe, Gloria Molina, Mark Ridley-Thomas and Zev Yaroslavsky — refused to comment on the board’s closed-door decision to remove Rosemarie Belda as the county’s child death investigator or the future of the position. A final sentence was omitted. That sentence said: “A source familiar with the discussion said Yaroslavsky was the only person to speak in defense of Belda.”

Unemployed worker: A profile of jobless worker Mary Bueno in some editions of Section A on Sept. 5 said she lives in Bell Gardens. Her home is in Bellflower. The article also said in some editions that Bueno sold lemons from her neighbor’s tree to earn money. The lemons were from her own tree.

CD review: A review in Sunday’s Arts & Books section of the new Master Chorale recording of choral pieces by Nico Muhly said the title is “The Great Understanding.” The correct title is, in fact, “A Good Understanding.”

Chilean miners: An article in the Sept. 5 Section A about trapped Chilean miners misspelled the last name of a survivor of the 1972 Andean plane crash who visited the site. His name is Gustavo Zerbino, not Servino.

Robert Schimmel obituary: The obituary of stand-up comic Robert Schimmel in the Sept. 5 California section misspelled comedian Jimmie Walker’s first name as Jimmy.
