Chivas USA today

AT PHILADELPHIA

When: 1 p.m. PDT.

Where: PPL Park, Chester, Pa.

On the air: TV: TeleFutura, FSW. Radio: 690.

Records: Chivas USA 7-13-4, Union 6-12-6.

Record vs. Union: 0-0-1.

Update: In its most recent match, a 2-0 loss at home against the Kansas City Wizards, Chivas USA managed only one shot on target, forward Alan Gordon’s slow roller to the goalkeeper in the second minute of injury time. It was an abject performance by the team and left Chivas Coach Martin Vasquez perplexed by the players’ inconsistency from game to game. His team needs to win half of its remaining six games simply to end the season having won a third of its 30 MLS matches. Even that might be too much to ask. The teams are in sixth place in their respective conferences and thoughts of the playoffs have pretty much evaporated for both. The Union is unbeaten in its last four home games at 1-0-3 and is led by Sebastien Le Toux with 11 goals and 10 assists.
