Digital Imagining: The Art of T.C. Hengst Created over several years, this suite of colorful, large-format digital works demonstrates complex layering and bold composition. Trained as a medical and biological illustrator, Hengst adopted digital illustration methods in the late ‘80s and has illustrated more than 60 medical and surgical texts. CLU Art Gallery, 60 W. The Lucky Ones In this lecture and her book of the same name, author and history professor Mae Ngai chronicles three generations of the Tapes, a family of Chinese American immigrant brokers and interpreters whose unique in-between status both benefited and marginalized them. Michelle L. Turner Turner signs and discusses “The Rose Bowl,” a detailed exploration of Pasadena’s famous multipurpose sports venue.
