Jonathan Quick’s 2-year-old takes over news conference [Video]

Kings Coach Darryl Sutter and goalie Jonathan Quick had plenty of interesting things to say during their news conference following L.A.’s 6-1 Stanley Cup-clinching victory over the New Jersey Devils on Monday night.

Such as ... wait a minute, did that photographer just get whacked in the head with a Kings flag? That’s hilarious!

OK, sorry, what was I talking about again? Oh yeah, the news conference featuring the most valuable player of the postseason ... wait, who is that little chatterbox running, skipping and jumping all over the place? She is just too cute for words.

But speaking of words, you should have heard what Sutter said about being hired midseason and coaching a franchise to its first-ever championship ... hey, is she choking now? What should we do? Oh, situation under control? Whew.

All right, fine. I’ll admit it. I couldn’t pay attention to a word either man had to say, thanks to Quick’s adorable 2-year-old daughter, Madison, who pretty much had the run of the place throughout the news conference. And kudos to Quick and Sutter for, more or less, staying on task when it their turn to talk, and taking it on themselves to try to contain the toddler while the other one was speaking.

Just go ahead and try to focus on anything those guys had to say -- I challenge you! Chances are, you will find yourself distracted -- and thoroughly amused -- by budding star Madison.
