Baron Davis injury painful to watch, but feel free to try [Video]

Baron Davis was actually joking around and laughing as he was being removed from the Madison Square Garden court on a stretcher during the New York Knicks’ playoff game against the Miami Heat on Sunday night.

It’s difficult to imagine anyone could muster a smile after an injury that looked that painful.

Just look at the expressions on the faces of LeBron James and his Miami Heat teammates as they watch the Knicks point guard tumble to the ground after his knee buckled while planting his foot on a fast break during the third quarter.

Ouch!

But Davis appeared to be making the best of his dislocated right kneecap, even after missing the majority of the season with a herniated disk in his back.

“I spoke with him after the game and he was in great spirits,” Knicks Coach Mike Woodson said. “Baron’s a trooper, man. The one thing he said was, ‘Hey, I tried to give you all I could.’ ”
