Absinthe

You’re never far from the action at “Absinthe,” a night of burlesque, acrobatics, raunch and ribaldry that just celebrated two years on the Strip. The fun unfolds under the tent in front of Caesars Palace in a theater-in-the-round so intimate audience members can see the sinewy, flexed muscles of the athletes. The master of ceremonies for this adults-only evening is the snaggle-toothed, foul-mouthed “Gazillionaire.” The show features an amazing hand-to-hand balancing duo, high-wire acts, a pair of daring roller-skaters, and flesh-baring torch singer Melody Sweets, nicknamed “the Green Fairy” in homage to the notorious green alcohol that lends the show its name. It’s all good fun that goes down especially well with a glass of the green stuff at the onsite speakeasy.
