GM issues recalls on Cadillac, Buick and Chevrolet models
When it comes to recalls, General Motors wasn’t having a particularly good day Wednesday, though it wasn’t as bad as Toyota’s recall of nearly 700,000 Prius cars.
GM has announced that it is recalling four models across three of its brands.
More than 12,000 of Cadillac’s full-size XTS sedans are being recalled for a glitch in the rear head restraints.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the restraints in 2013 XTS models may not lock in place, causing them to fall too low for federal safety standards. In the event of a crash, this could increase the chance for neck injury to the passenger.
The recall of Cadillac’s not-quite flagship XTS affects cars made from October 2011 through August 2012. Owners are advised to contact their Cadillac dealership or General Motors directly at 1-800-458-8006.
Meanwhile, GM is also recalling various Buick Verano and Chevy Cruze and Sonic models for an issue with the driver’s seat airbag. The NHTSA said an electrical malfunction on some cars may prevent the airbag from deploying in event of a crash.
