Joe Flanigan of ‘Stargate: Atlantis’ fame parts with ocean-view spread in Malibu
Joe Flanigan of “Stargate: Atlantis” and his ex-wife, actress Katherine Kousi, have sold their getaway house in Malibu for $6.15 million.
Set on two parcels totaling 14 acres, the two-story, Spanish-style home features wood ceilings, distressed plank floors and French doors. Some 2,700 square feet of living space includes an open plan living, dining and family rooms with vaulted ceilings and fireplace.
There’s also an updated farmhouse-style kitchen with an island, a media room, four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Two detached studios, a swimming pool with a spa and a patio with a fire pit are on the grounds, which have ocean views.
Flanigan, 48, starred in the TV movie “Ferocious Planet” (2011) and will be in the big-screen comedy “The Bandit Hound,” due out in December. His acting credits include “Silent Men” (2005) and “Encino Woman” (1996).
They bought the house, built in 1968, in 2006 for $3.68 million, public records show. The additional acreage was purchased two years later for $1 million. The couple divorced last year.
Christopher Cortazzo of Coldwell Banker was the listing agent. The sale closed outside of the Multiple Listing Service.
