The Latin Recording Academy unveiled its 2019 Latin Grammy nominees Tuesday morning, with Spanish star Alejandro Sanz and Los Angeles-based mix engineer Jaycen Joshua leading the pack with eight nominations apiece.

Other high-profile nominees include “Despacito” hitmaker Luis Fonsi, “Señorita” pop star Camila Cabello, “Yo x Ti, Tu x Mi” artist Rosalía and “Te Mando Flores” singer Fonseca.

Cabello, formerly of Fifth Harmony, nabbed three nods, including record and song of the year for “Mi Persona Favorita,” her collaboration with Sanz.

The global embrace of Latin urban beats is undeniable, but it was a pop balladeer, Jorge Drexler from Uruguay, who was crowned a triple winner at the 19th annual Latin Grammy Awards, taking record, song and singer-songwriter of the year, while Mexican crooner Luis Miguel, a no-show at the Las Vegas ceremony on Thursday, won two trophies for ranchero/mariachi album and album of the year.
