“Pippin,” which debuted on Broadway in 1972 with Bob Fosse directing, was named best revival of a musical at the 67th Tony Awards, presented Sunday night at Radio City Music Hall.

The production, with a score by Stephen Schwartz (“Wicked,” “Godspell”), opened April 25 at the Music Box Theatre. “Pippin’s” original production ran for five years and won as many Tonys.

Former Cirque du Soleil performer Gypsy Snider is behind the revival’s circus feats. Chet Walker choreographed several of the numbers in Fosse’s style.
