L.A. Metro goes ‘Miami Vice’ in app video that’s so Throwback Thursday
Metro Los Angeles is now encouraging Angelenos to take mass transit with a totally low-production, ‘80s-style YouTube video that raises awareness about its trip-planning smartphone app. I found the video trolling around Citylab this morning, and it contains some pretty spectacular flashbacks to “Miami Vice” fashions, extra-large cellphones, VHS tapes and the sound of dial-up modem lines. It’s really bad and weirdly catchy all at the same time.
Now, if Metro could increase the frequency of the #70 bus, and put a churro vendor inside Union Station, all would be golden...
