TV ratings: ‘America’s Got Talent’ slips, ties with ‘MasterChef’
“America’s Got Talent,” which soared Tuesday on NBC, slipped in its first results show Wednesday night.
The broadcast, the first round of cuts based on voting results, got a 2.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic, according to preliminary numbers from Nielsen, down 21% from last week. A ratings point equals about 1.3 million viewers.
It was still the most watched show of the night, drawing an average 10.3 million viewers.

Wednesday night’s new episode of Fox’s “MasterChef” saw ratings jump 5% from last week in the 18-49 demographic to 2.3, giving it a tie with “Talent.” This episode, in which contestants faced an camping cooking challenge, drew an average 5.52 million viewers overall.
Fox won the night in 18-49 with a 1.7 rating.
CBS’s reality show “Big Brother,” which has been the subject of controversy since a houseguest made derogatory remarks about African American, Asian American and gay members of the house, held steady this week in TV ratings for Wednesday night. The show got a 2.2 rating in 18-49.
ABC’s only original for the night, “The Lookout,” was flat from last week.
