‘The Company You Keep’s’ Brit Marling in black and white

Share

Brit Marling may not be a household name yet, but the budding actress and screenwriter is well on her way. The Georgetown-educated Marling has been around the indie movie scene for a couple of years with the films “Political Disaster” and “Another Earth,” which she co-wrote. But her career picks up speed this month with roles in the new films “The East” and “The Company You Keep,” which hits theaters Friday.

Marling can also be seen with actor Eddie Redmayne on the cover of the April issue of W magazine as two of fashion’s next big things. We couldn’t agree more. Marling is a classic beauty who stuns on the red carpet in looks that are simple but smart.

At the “Iceman” Venice Film Festival premiere, Marling chose a white strapless Gucci dress with an embroidered floral print on the skirt, red satin Gucci clutch and gold Gucci sandals. She chose a Gucci long-sleeve gown with a gold-and-silver-crystal-embellished belt for the Gucci Award for Women In Cinema ceremony.

Marling attended the recent New York premiere of “The Company You Keep” at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City in a minimal but high-impact black-and-white dress by Viktor & Rolf. She added black strappy “Harting” sandals by Rupert Sanderson.

For a similar look, try the Madison Marcus Maxi dress for $349, the Aqua Sport maxi dress for $168 or the Aqua half-moon maxi dress for $88, all from Bloomingdales.com.

Slip on some strappy sandals, add a pretty pink matte lip, and you’re ready for any occasion.
