Tommy Lee Jones has never been one to suffer fools but he may also not be a fan of Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell’s quirky comedy.

Although the 66-year old actor was on hand at Sunday night’s Golden Globes to celebrate his film “Lincoln,” which was nominated for seven awards, including one for Jones’ portrayal of the wigged, limping Thaddeus Stevens, Wiig and Ferrell mocked Jones’ other 2012 film, the dramedy “Hope Springs.”

During the presentation of the best actress in a drama award, Wiig and Ferrell made up silly plot lines for each of the five nominees’ films, including Meryl Streep, who played opposite Jones in a film about an old married couple

“Merial Streep,” says Wiig. “It’s Hope Springs and she’s that sassy sheriff,” said Ferrell. The two put their hands on their hips and shout, “I’m Hope Springs,” just as the camera cuts to Jones, who looks furious with their bit, while everyone around him is cracking up.

Either the cameraman caught Jones’s craggy face at exactly the right second, or the Texan with the deep-pocketed eyes, was truly perturbed. His gray goatee only made his scowl look more pronounced. Perhaps it was the bit. Perhaps it was his loss earlier in the night to “Django Unchained’s” Christoph Waltz, but his sour facial expression has gone viral. People are putting it up against another Internet sensation Grumpy Cat while others turned it into a gif.

Jones didn’t stay mad the entire show; he was later seen amiably chatting up his “Lincoln” co-stars at his table.

As for Wiig and Ferrell, the duo received high marks for their routine, with one partygoer predicting they would land the hosting gig for next year’s telecast. Seems they had many more fans than enemies from the night.

Check out Jones’ scowl below at around the 3:20 mark in the clip.
