Alan Arkin had a health scare earlier this week.
“He had a mini stroke, and he is fine,” the Oscar winner’s publicist, Melody Korenbrot, told The Times on Friday.
The “Little Miss Sunshine” and “Argo” star was hospitalized Monday and was released Tuesday, Korenbrot said.
TMZ reported that doctors ran several tests and said there was no significant damage.
The 81-year-old was scheduled to appear at the Los Angeles premiere of his multigenerational holiday comedy “Love the Coopers” on Thursday but was not in attendance.
The film, which also stars Ed Helms, Diane Keaton, John Goodman, Olivia Wilde and Amanda Seyfried, opens Friday.
