Eddie Redmayne is engaged to girlfriend Hannah Bagshawe.

The actor, 32, who played Marius in the big-screen adaptation of “Les Miserables” in 2012, proposed to Bagshawe over Memorial Day weekend, his rep told People.

“He had been planning on it for a while,” a source told Us Weekly. “They have a very relaxed and supportive relationship … they seemed to have always known they were going to spend the rest of their lives together.”

“He asked her father’s permission — the whole deal,” another source told the mag.

The couple have been dating for more than two years, first making their red carpet debut at the London premiere of “Les Miserables” in December 2012, according to E! News. They most recently traipsed down the red carpet together at the Oscars in March and the 2014 Met Ball in early May.

The London Times’ Saturday print edition reportedly published the couple’s engagment notice, E! reported, which read: “The engagement is announced between Edward, son of Mr and Mrs Richard Redmayne of London, and Hannah, daughter of Mr Nicholas Bagshawe and Mrs Caryl Bagshawe, both of London.”

The English actor will next appear in July’s “Jupiter Ascending” alongside Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum. He’ll also play noted physicist Stephen Hawking in James Marsh’s biopic “Theory of Everything.”
