Mayim Bialik, the “Blossom” star most recently recurring as Sheldon’s friend on “The Big Bang Theory,” is in one piece after a bad car accident in Hollywood that resulted in a serious hand injury.

Noting that it was her husband typing, Bialik said Wednesday on Twitter that she was “in pain but will keep all my fingers,” proceeding on in good enough spirits to plug a pre-taped TV appearance later that night.

The actress, 36, was driving alone through the intersection at Hollywood Boulevard and La Brea Avenue when her Volvo collided with a car turning west on Hollywood Boulevard, police told L.A. Now.

Both of her car’s main air bags blew, and the crash left her with “severe lacerations to her left hand and thumb,” according to Los Angeles Police Lt. Andrew Neiman. The other car was carrying three tourists from Chile who were not cited or detained, according to People.

TMZ posted a picture showing damage to the front end of Bialik’s Volvo, citing a source as saying there was “tons and tons of blood everywhere.”

The actress thanked fans for their support, Bialik’s rep said in a statement. She was back on “The Big Bang Theory” set Thursday.

[For the record, 4:10 p.m. Aug. 16: This post originally said Bialik was expected to be back at work Wednesday. She was back on the job Thursday, according to executive producer Bill Prady.]
