Megan Hilty’s newest production has debuted: The “Smash” alum is now mom to a new baby girl.
The theater actress-turned-TV star welcomed her first child in New York City on Thursday, her rep confirmed to the Los Angeles Times.
Hilty and husband Brian Gallagher named their little diva Viola Philomena, her rep added.
The “Sean Saves the World” alum, 33, met her musician beau at a New York fitness class while they were working on Broadway. They wed in an intimate ceremony at Las Vegas’ Venetian Hotel and Casino in November, and Hilty announced her pregnancy in March.
“Two years ago today I met the man of my dreams and now we’re proud to announce we’re starting a family,” the actress tweeted.
“Yup! Working on a new project w/ @meganhilty!” Gallagher added. “It’s been in development for months now [and] is due in September! Working title: #GallagherBaby!”
The actress’ next big project is Warren Beatty’s untitled Howard Hughes film, which is due in May 2015. She’ll appear along with Beatty, his wife Annette Bening, Alec Baldwin, Matthew Broderick, Taissa Farmiga, Martin Sheen, Lily Collins, Oliver Platt and Candice Bergen.
I’m only a little upset she didn’t name her Marilyn. Follow me on Twitter @NardineSaad.
